In the wild it is all about survival of the fittest, fastest, toughest and most skilled. Many species, humans included, often have to fight for their lives, their families, their resources and their homes.
Animals naturally begin to play fight and wrestle from an early age, and spend hours honing their fighting skills. Just watch a pair of puppies or kittens for a few minutes!
Most human youngsters on the other hand are discouraged from this kind of behaviour. Whilst this is good in one sense, people often go through the rest of their lives praying that they will never get in hostile situation.
Walking around with a lack of self-confidence they actually attract more of the trouble they are trying to avoid! Although hopefully none of you will ever get forced into a violent situation, it does happen. Like it or not, we live in a dangerous world and there are some very nasty people out there going round targeting ‘innocent’ people they perceive as weak.
At Tiger Health we do like this and we do not like to leave anything to chance. We like to have some control over our destiny. We believe you should be prepared for anything, so Martial Arts are naturally a big part of our training systems.
